David is a founder and Managing Director of Tricor and is based in Vancouver. He is involved in all aspects of acquisitions, operations, and the investment, divestiture and management decisions of the firm.

David is a board member of Beresford Box Company, Inc., Comweb Group Inc., CPI Card Group, Golden Boy Foods, Keyes Packaging Group, Inc., and Tharco Packaging, Inc., which are current Tricor portfolio companies. He is Chairman of Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Income Fund, a prior Tricor portfolio company that is now listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Prior to founding Tricor, David spent over 16 years as a practicing lawyer both in public practice and as in-house counsel. David was Associate Counsel with Stikeman, Elliott, a Canadian-based global law firm. Before joining Stikeman, Elliott, David was a Principal and Executive Vice President of Macluan Capital Corporation. Prior to that, he was Vice President and General Counsel of Jim Pattison Industries Ltd. (the Jim Pattison Group), Canada's third largest privately held company. His responsibilities in both firms included negotiating and structuring corporate acquisitions and divestitures and debt financing. He also managed the Jim Pattison Group's real estate development division.

David obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Ontario.
