Derek joined Tricor in 2006 and is based in Vancouver. He is a key member of Tricor's investment transaction team.

Prior to joining Tricor, Derek worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at CIBC World Markets, Inc. in Vancouver. Derek was involved in providing financial advisory services on public and private market transactions in the Paper and Forest Products, Technology, and Diversified sectors. He was part of a team that executed income trust IPOs, follow-on offerings, acquisitions, asset sales, financial restructurings, strategic reviews and leveraged buyouts.

Derek obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Music from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, during which time he interned at Tricor's Chicago office.
