Joe joined Tricor in 2006 and is based in Vancouver. He is a key member of Tricor's investment transaction team.

Joe is a board member of Golden Boy Foods, which is a current Tricor portfolio company.

Prior to joining Tricor, Joe was a Principal at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners (DLJMB), Credit Suisse First Boston’s private equity investment arm based in New York. In that capacity, he was responsible for leading all aspects of acquisitions and for managing portfolio companies with approximately $2 billion in combined revenues. While at DLJMB, Joe was a board member or observer for a number of companies, including Mueller Group, Anvil International, Advanstar Inc., Nextpharma Technologies, Arcade Holdings, and US Express Leasing. Before joining DLJMB, Joe was an investment professional with Morgan Stanley & Co’s Equity Risk Arbitrage Division in London. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Joe was an investment banker with J.P. Morgan & Co.'s Mergers & Acquisitions Execution Group in New York, where he advised on and completed M&A transactions valued at more than $10 billion.

Joe obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia where he was awarded the Dean’s Convocation Medal, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business where he graduated summa cum laude. Joe is a CFA charterholder.
