Samantha Shi

Samantha manages day-to-day accounting operations, including budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis and reporting, as well as compliance and taxation for half of Tricor’s corporate entities. Additionally, she oversees reporting for the real estate and land development portfolio, supports ad-hoc tax projects, collaborates with the controller on process optimization and system enhancements, and fulfills other management reporting requirements.

Before joining Tricor, Samantha served as an Accounting Manager at Alture Properties Ltd., a real estate firm specializing in projects for high-net-worth individuals. Prior to that, she was the Hedge Fund Assistant Manager at Maple River Capital Management, where she focused primarily on the US stock market. Earlier in her career, Samantha gained extensive experience in external auditing, financial management, and performance evaluation across various industries and countries, holding roles at Ernst & Young (UK), China Mobile Communications Group Co. (China), and OpenRoad Auto Group (Canada).

Samantha earned a BA(Hons) in Accounting and Finance degree from Lancaster University (UK) and an MSc in Finance degree from Imperial College London (UK).

Samantha is also a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of CPA, CGA.
