Anne Stewart
Anne contributes to the governance of Tricor Pacific Capital as a member of the Tricor Advisory Board and is also a resource and helps on various Tricor legal matters.
Prior to joining Tricor, Anne was a partner of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP and worked with Tricor in that capacity. She is now a retired partner of Blakes. She is currently providing legal consulting services to Tricor and others.
Anne has extensive experience advising businesses across a broad scope of subject matter expertise including: mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; structuring and reorganization; acquisition, project and capital financing; commercial law and infrastructure projects.
Anne earned her Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of British Columbia and graduated with the gold medal in her law school class.
Anne is a King’s Counsel. She is the recipient of many awards, including the “Outstanding Leader 2016” by Women’s Infrastructure Network, 2017 YWCA Vancouver Women of Distinction Award in “Business and the Professions”, 2017-2018 UBC Alumni Builder Award, 2014 UBC Law Alumni Award of Distinction and one of the two 2025 inaugural Business in Vancouver Lifetime Achievement Awards awarded to a past winner of a BIV Forty under 40 Award. She was named Best Lawyers’ 2016 “Vancouver Corporate Governance Practice Lawyer of the Year” and is recognized in various legal and business publications.
Anne has written and spoken extensively on many legal topics. She is now and has been active in various professional, community and charitable organizations. For many years, Anne was a member of the Ethics Committee of The Law Society of British Columbia. Anne was on numerous boards, including British Columbia Railway Company, Transportation Investment Corporation, Canadian Council for Public Private Partnerships and Simon Fraser University Foundation. She is a Dame of the Order of St. John. Anne is also now or was previously on the board of and very active with various charities including the Minerva Foundation for BC Women, Active Aging Society and Music on Main Society. She is also very involved with the National Retreat for Women and the BC Women’s Infrastructure Network.
