Mike Neil

In his role as Managing Director, Mike focuses on origination, strategic asset allocation, and optimizing portfolio performance while supporting the firm’s broader strategic initiatives.

With over 25 years of experience as a hands-on business leader, Mike has held senior positions and advised numerous privately held companies across a wide range of industries. Over his career, he has worked alongside highly effective business leaders and owners, guiding companies through complex scenarios such as CCAA turnarounds, business expansions, divestitures, and multiple acquisitions.

In 2015, Mike acquired ProSource Supply, initially a single-location distributor of irrigation and landscaping products. Under his ownership, the company has grown into a leading national distributor with six branch locations from BC to Ontario. Mike has professionalized sales and operations processes, introduced EOS as a management framework, enhanced finance and accounting functions, successfully implemented a web-based ERP and accounting platform (NetSuite), acquired three industry-related companies, and cultivated a capable and driven leadership team.

When not at work, Mike can often be found on the sidelines of one of his daughters’ soccer fields, at the gym, or staying active with his family and their two dogs—a golden retriever and a chocolate lab.

Mike received his BComm from The University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
