Shawn Lewis

As CEO and Managing Director, Shawn oversees all aspects of the firm’s activities, including investments, operations and strategy. He guides the Tricor team in managing the firm’s diverse portfolio, fostering strong partnerships and identifying new investment opportunities. Shawn works closely with portfolio company leadership teams to support sustainable growth and value creation.

Prior to joining Tricor, Shawn worked for 15 years at Stern Partners, a Vancouver-based private investment firm, where he was Vice President and General Counsel. In addition to overseeing legal matters for the group, he was involved in acquisitions and dispositions, corporate development and finance, and on-going business and strategic matters for the group’s companies.

Prior to Stern Partners, Shawn practised law for six years at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in New York.  He was a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group and Private Equity Group and his practice focused on domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and other general corporate matters. 

Shawn studied law at McGill University where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.). He also obtained a Bachelor of Science (Architecture) from McGill University’s School of Architecture. 

Outside the office, Shawn is involved in various community and philanthropic organizations. He can also be found on the ice rink, tennis court or ski hill and spending time with his family.
